My practice is informed by my experiences of adversity throughout childhood. Using surrealistic or acrylic paintings and works in felt, I call attention to areas of society that tend to be glossed over, by sharing vulnerable moments. The works show a perspective of the world that can feel cold, rigid, and distant. My current work explores the division of the younger childhood self and adult self within my memories. I lean into ideas of memory, distortion of memory, and perception.
