My current practice revolves around exploring the inherent meanings embedded within objects and materials. I am intrigued by the connection between our personal identities and the things we choose to surround ourselves with. Despite their simplicity, the objects we surround ourselves with provide valuable insights into our identities. By depicting both my personal belongings and those of others, my paintings shed light on their essence and offer deeper glimpses into who they are and who I am. I am drawn to the immediacy of these objects and what they reveal about our current state. Vibrant palettes and unconventional color choices allow me to transform ordinary objects into whimsical forms. Color serves as a way to undermine the obvious, and functions as a kind of artistic control. The everyday is subverted by the artist's intent, transforming the ordinary into an impulsive expression of my desire at that exact moment. Ultimately, my paintings serve to elevate the seemingly mundane into signifiers of identity.
